After a short summer break (bloody Revival) Goodwood’s Breakfast Clubs are back for the final few events of the season, and we’re going to kick things off with the return of one of our favourites – the always quirky Anything But The Car Sunday.
But, what kind of things can I expect to find at a Breakfast Club of this theme? Well, it’s quite simple, you may see absolutely everything and anything, but absolutely zero vehicles that we would class as a car.
That means machines with three wheels, motorbikes, buses, lorries, military vehicles without any wheels, and perhaps even some tractors. There really is nothing off the table at Anything But The Car Sunday.
It’s the third time we’ve run this particular Breakfast Club, although last time it ran under the modified theme of All Wheels But Four, which restricted entries to everything that had more or fewer than four wheels.
This time we’re open to any number of wheels. And the entries that have flown in over the last few months have brought us some absolutely incredible machines. To begin with the two-wheeled machines, you can expect to see motorcyles of all possible makes and kinds. There are superbikes, cruisers, old school café racers, street bikes and much more. We have Ducatis, Kawasakis, Hondas, Triumphs, you name it, marques both modern and extinct are represented. And, there’s even a smattering of Velocettes – those quirky French bicycles with a motor that powers the front wheel should you wish.
From the world of three-wheels we have Bond’s Bug, trikes from Polaris and even potentially Sinclair C5s making their way to the circuit. Then there’s lorries, a smattering of vans, both modern and classic and buses, which proved incredibly popular at All Wheels But Four Sunday with both adults and kids.
Tractors and traction engines have been registered, and there’s even a motorised bath tub set to come, should it manage to make its way to the circuit. So you can expect to see basically anything possible on Sunday.
Tickets are totally free, you just need to register here, so head on down for what should be a brilliant morning. Our gates open at 07:00.
